St Joseph’s Primary School was founded in 1959 to serve the parish of Our Lady’s Maida Vale.
We work to provide our children with the best possible education in the fullest sense of the word – academically, spiritually, culturally and emotionally. Our school of 325 pupils is a vibrant part of the neighbourhood of Maida Vale and St John’s Wood in North West London.
At the heart of our school ethos and permeating every aspect our daily life, are the gospel principles of loving your neighbour, of compassion and of justice. We believe that these motivate a challenging, warm and outward-looking community of pupils, teachers, support staff and parents.
Whilst we are immensely proud of St Joseph’s successes in public examinations, on the sports’ field, and cultural achievements – we place equal importance on our engagement with and practical support for local, national and international charities and organisations. We value all our children and encourage them to celebrate each other’s achievements in the classroom and playground.
As a community we work together to create a nurturing environment that enables our children to realize their potential and to confidently grow into fulfilled and rounded adults who will make a positive contribution to the world in which we live.
