The children in Violet 1 and 2 did themselves extremely proud in our class assembly this week. Not only did they research and come up with some very interesting facts about Europe in our Topic lessons, but they delivered these in an articulate and clear manner. We had so much fun in the learning and rehearsing process and can't wait till our next chance to perform an assembly once again!
The fun didn't stop there as we learnt to change improper fractions to mixed numbers and to add and subtract fractions in our Maths lessons. We have almost finished our class novel, Thief, and the children's engagement and passion for the book has been nothing short of admirable. Next week our English focus will be on newspaper articles. If you have any children's newspapers at home please bring them in.
Have a cracking weekend!

Wow! Another busy week for Violet 3. Percentages have been our focus this week, we have found percentages of different amounts and solved challenging multi-step word problems involving percentages. In RE, we began our Advent topic: Expectations, and we learnt why it's so important to have high expectations of ourselves and each other. Can you explain why?
On Wednesday, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Churchill War-Rooms, for a brief moment it felt like we had teleported back in time. Next week, we are looking forward learning different carols in preparation for the Westminster Carol Service we are taking part in on the Wednesday 5th December.
