Nursery News

We have had another busy week in Nursery. We have loved exploring and making with a new medium , using clay to make faces which are hanging in our Book Corner. They look magnificent.

We have used soft dolls and puppets and many stories, painted stones and role play to discuss how we feel and how others feel. This is a continuation of helping the children acknowledge they are unique.

We measured ourselves to see how tall we were and looked at the colours of our eyes. This week was a big week for the children as they went to their first assembly to celebrate Poetry Week. All the children sang an Autumn song. We were so PROUD of them, as it is very daunting to have so many faces watching them and they coped admirably. In RE we are talking about Mary. We are asking that the children write with your help a prayer for Mary and place it in our special prayer box.

Next week we will also be starting to talk about how we have been welcomed into school and how we are welcomed into God's family. Please bring in a photo of their Baptism for our display.

The tickets for our Harvest Supper have been selling well. We are looking forward to a great night next Friday.

Lastly a few reminders. Please name all school uniform and check to see if you have your own child's. With some colder days the children are developing seasonal colds. Please keep your child at home if they are unwell. Thank you. We would appreciate any donations of boxes of tissues.

Have a great weekend
