Head's Newsletter

Dear Pupils, Parent, Staff, and Governors,

The week beginning 5th February is E safety week in school. E safety and children‘s knowledge and awareness of the dangers posed by the internet are vitally important.  Belinda Evans, Westminster’s Lead Curriculum Advisor for Computing, will be giving a talk for parents on Tuesday 6th February at 9am in the hall. All are most welcome for what should be both informative and useful.

We are encouraging all parents to ‘go cashless’ when paying for lunches, trips, workshops and activities in school.  All payments relating to school activities can be made to St. Joseph’s Primary School through Lloyds Bank PLC:

Sort code:             30 80 12
Account Number:      14329468

Please quote as a reference: Your child’s family name and reason (ie Dinner money, trip, club etc.) If you are making a payment for more than one thing or more than one child, please inform the school office.  Family donations to the Westminster Diocese Governors fund remain unchanged. Thank you very much.

Save the Date: Saturday 24th March School Auction

All parents should have received a letter this week about this year’s auction.  Please start thinking now about what you could donate and how you can help.  As always, we need lots of volunteers, and if you can donate your time to help, then please do.  We need all of your support to try and match last year’s total – and even better it.  Jbay is now open and you can upload and view donations.

To contact a member of the auction team, please email:stjosauction@gmail.com

This week Jarvis will be going home with Atticus. Atticus has shown exceptional kindness and generosity of spirit and I am confident that he will be able to take very good care of Jarvis.

Attendance in school is really important and whilst we understand that children get sick from time to time, they also need to build up resilience.  It is very disruptive for a child to miss days from school and it takes time to settle back in.  Unless your children is really ill, has vomited or had diarrhoea, please bring them to school.
