Year 3 News

This week we have further explored our Romans topic and constructed our own timelines. This proved to be quite the challenge, especially when it came to distinguishing between A.D. and B.C. and sequencing accordingly. We then added own historical events after the Roman dominance and ordered according to importance.

In PE we continued our cricket lessons with Coach Grant. We are most excited to be having some coaches visit from the MCC for the next three Tuesdays for some specialised clinics ( don't forget your PE kits).

In English we honed the art of hyperbole and used this skill to write some lovely poems titled our big write today.

Next week we look forward to our Holy Communion mass on Friday. It's always one of the highlights of the schoolyear. We have heard all aboutdifferent masses, families visiting from afar and celebrations; now it's time to see the outfits and more importantly, the children to take communion for the first time as part of the school community.

We hope to see you all tomorrow at the summer fair (don't forget jam jar stall). Let's hope the weather is good to us!
