Nursery News

t has been a very hot week with soaring temperatures. The nursery children have coped very well with the heat and have been very busy and engaged. We had slight relief with the odd squirt of the hose which was accompanied with many of squeals of delight and the treat of ice lollies.

Of particular interest this week has been the arrival of our butterflies. We had momentarily lost focus whilst they were a chrysalis,  being that they are not so interesting in this state. After watching them for a couple of days we all headed into the garden for the big release. There was great excitement as the butterflies gently flew onto the bushes. Hopefully we will get to see them for a short time fluttering in our playground.

Thank you to our parents for the wonderful selection of goodies for the Friday cake stall last weekand we managed to raise £151 towards our memorial garden.

Some important dates to look forward to:

  • We will be sending out a letter regarding a visit from Living Things who will be bringing in a range of animals for the children to view, pet and learn about their habitats.
  • Sports Day July 14

We wish you all a wonderful weekend
