Dear children, parents, staff and governors,
I know that you have all been affected by the tragic news of the fire in Grenfell Tower, which is just up the road from our school. Two members of our staff, who have friends in Grenfell Tower, are awaiting news and are obviously very upset. I feel that it would be good for us as a school to do something financially to help our neighbours and I would suggest that at our Summer Fair on July 1st , we have collection tins around the school so that we can contribute to the official funds that are being set up. I know that you will keep our two members of staff and their friends in your prayers.
Our Summer Fair is drawing near and Mrs. Yvette Koczan-Santiago (parent of a child in Reception Class) and her team are looking for more volunteers to support on the day. Please would you give one hour of your time to look after a stall or area. Please let myself, Mrs Husain or Mrs.Koczan-Santiago know if you can help us. The more help, the better the Fair will be. Please email Mrs Dunphy in the office your offers of help and she will put you in touch with the Summer Fair team.
Also you will receive a pack of raffle ticketsfor the Grand Prize Draw that will take place at the Summer Fair. Please do sell tickets to family and friends as you never know they could be the lucky winners!
Our Doughnuts for Dads morning was a very joyous occasion. Thank you to all our Fathers, grandfathers, uncles and big brothers who joined us today to celebrate Father’s Day. Thank you also to Father Jeff who came along as well. The performance by Early Years and KS1 children was wonderful.
Finally may I wish all our fathers a very happy day on Sunday.
