We have thoroughly enjoyed Book Week in Year 6. The children dressed up as their favourite character and it was lovely to see such a variety of costumes. On Wednesday, Mrs Rainey came to read aloud a short story which focussed on friendship. It was such a treat. We were also fortunate to have another visit from Tracey Mathias (author of The Assalay Trilogy) to help with our writing. As Lent began on Wednesday, the children went to mass in Our Lady's Church to receive ashes. We will all be trying to be better people throughout Lent at home and in school so hopefully you will see more acts of kindness too.
