Another busy week for Violet 1 and 2!
Violet 1 are thoroughly enjoying reading their class book Thief, so much so they have written the next chapter themselves! They have really shown off their writing talents by using exciting vocabulary and varied punctuation throughout. In Maths they have been putting the interpreting information from tables.
Both classes were thoughtful and respectful during the St John’s Hospice assembly on Wednesday morning and showed great maturity.
On Tuesday, Violet 2 participated in an exciting Road Safety assembly, where they learnt about peer-pressure, bullying and of course road safety. The story of Tom and his brother Joe really brought to light the impact of being unsafe on the roads. It’s been all about the power of persuasion in English this week, and they have written very convincing letters, which included Hyperbole17 and Obsequious. Can your child explain what they are? In Maths they have been solving challenging ratio and proportion word problems.
