Multiplying and subtracting fractions have been the focus of Violet 2 this week which the students did with skill and expertise. Violet 1 concentrated on working with decimals, rounding and ordering increasingly large numbers with decimal places. Both Violet classes had a strong emphasis on using descriptive language when writing responses to their respective class novels.
As a part of our Religion studies this week Judaism was the focus throughout the school. Violet 1 looked at Pesach and shared their own stories of how they celebrate different events with their families. Violet 2 enacted some of the traditions carried out during Yom Kippur such as eating apples dipped in honey.
Violet 2 lead the school in a reverent and emotive Remembrance day assembly and should be proud of their maturity during this time.
