Nursery News

Thank you to all our families who visited the nursery on our open days. It was joyous to see how proud the children are to show you their nursery and share their work to date.

It has been another busy week having discussions about colour, light and sound. This week we looked at what makes shadows  and the children had fun making puppets for our shadow boxes and doing 'shows' for their peers. We have also made window art, coloured collage, added sound to our light room and introduced new songs and games.

We had the Library visit this week to read to the children and thank you to the parents who attended their workshop. It looked fun.

We have been talking about Remembrance Day and what it means. We made poppies and have displayed them as a wreath at our alter. We wrote prayers for our loved ones and said prayers around the alter.

Thank you parents for labeling your child's school clothing it makes it much easier for us and the children to identify what belongs to who. We have had a lot of sickness this week and thank you for keeping your child at home till they are well again. This stops the further spread of infection.

Have a restful and fun weekend.
