Head's Newsletter

Dear children, parents, staff and governors,

I would like to begin by thanking you all for your very warm welcome and offers of support during my first week here at St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. You can never really understand a school until you are fully immersed in it but my initial feeling is that this is truly a school that lives out its Catholic Faith in the everyday life of all its members.

The children returned on Tuesday and have settled into their new classes very well. I have visited all the classes and I have found calm and industrious children and staff who have started the year off very well indeed. I am also very impressed by the organisation of the St Joseph’s School Association, who have already organised an international evening to be held next Friday 16 th September from 6-9pm. Please do come along and join myself, staff and other parents in the first event of our school year.

Next week will give all of the parents an opportunity to meet their child's new teacher at the curriculum meetings.  This is when you will be informed about the topics to be taught and the organisation of each year group. Times are on the calendar.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. V. Richardson
