This week, Year 2 travelled back in time to 1666 to visit Monument and to delight in the panoramic view of London. We would like to extend our warm thanks to all of our wonderful parent helpers who enjoyed sharing this experience. In Mathematics we have been learning how to calculate totals in pounds and pence and then find change from 50p and £1 using our number line jumps or our partitioning skills to great effect. In RE we have not only been reflecting on the gifts of The Holy Spirit but we have also been discovering fascinating facts about St. Joseph. In English we have been learning adverbs of manner, exclamation sentences and writing entertaining recounts of our Monument trip. Next week we will be working on our reading comprehension skills, finding halves or quarters of shapes and also writing about Pentecost. What a busy week we will have!
