Head's Newsletter

The children have been arriving at school each day beaming broadly and looking forward to their day; particularly their Maths lessons. I think that they are all feeling very ‘smart’ after our ‘Smartie Maths Week’ and it was a joy to share their mathematical learning with them during this morning’s assembly.

Whilst the pupils have been focussing on their learning there has been a lot of activity behind the scenes with staff working very hard on the information that they will be uploading on the new school website which we are hoping to ‘go live’ with next Friday. The teachers have also begun to think about the children’s reports as they will be sent out before Easter; providing parents and carers with detailed information about their children’s progress and next steps in learning. In addition there have been many conversations about Mrs Cutispoto’s 30th Anniversary Mass which will be taking place next Friday at 2:30pm.  We hope that many parents and former pupils will join the children, staff and governors at this very special celebration.

Website of the Week

Next Tuesday 9th February we will be marking Internet Safety Day in school by spending some time in class thinking about how we can stay safe online. A good website to have a look at this week is Parent Info which provides high quality information and resources to parents about lots of different issues related to digital technology. We hope you find it helpful. - Mrs Newton
