Dear Pupils, Parents, Staff, and Governors
Fr. Jeff celebrated mass with our year 3 communicants on Thursday and it was a beautiful celebration of this most marvellous sacrament. All of the children in Key Stage 2 were very reverent and behaved and sang beautifully. Fr Jeff reminded us all that we are all ‘tabernacles of Jesus’ and we should be kind to each other.
On Tuesday next week (12th June) the school photographer will be taking class photos. We are also having a whole school photo – the first for many years, the last whole school photograph was taken in 2009. All children should come to school on Tuesday in their full school uniform including school shoes, hair should be tied back for girls and neat and tidy for everyone.
Please remember that St Joseph’s is a healthy school and therefore if you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday with the class, please bring in fruit. We have no sweets, cakes or biscuits for birthdays. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
On Wednesday 27th June at 2:30pm, Cecily Engels, our school linked psychotherapist, will be giving a talk to parents of children in Key Stage Two about strategies to manage pre-adolescent children. This promises to be a very informative and relevant talk and there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.
Preparations for the summer fair are well on the way. If you can help in any way, please contact the summer fair team led by Mrs Koczan Santiago. It would be great if we could have lots of food stalls, so if you think you could run a stall, please let us know.
This week Jarvis will be going home with Rafa in year 3 who has been very kind and caring all week to his classmates. He was also very sensible and reflective in mass on Thursday. Well done Rafa.
May God bless you and keep you and your family safe.
Mrs K Husain
