On Tuesday, Year 6 went to the STEM Centre at St Marylebone School for a morning of 'Ecstatic Electricity'. We learned about how resistance affects the current in a circuit and the children conducted a number of investigations, showing great teamwork. We were particularly impressed with the chemical experiments at the end. Lewis was selected to set a helium balloon on fire.
In maths, we learned how to solve problems using algebra. How amazing! It will certainly help us with some tricky reasoning questions. Now that we have finished reading Skellig, we have written our own short stories about finding something unusual in a shed (just like Michael did). It has been a delight to read them all. Next Friday, the Young Shakespeare Company will be in school to perform 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. How exciting!
