Nursery News

The Nursery children are working hard, continuing our Fairy Tales focus. This week we have looked at The 3 Bears and Goldilocks. To consolidate  our learning of this favourite tale we have done some wonderful art, writing and maths, finishing on Friday with making porridge and deciding if we like sweet, salty or plain. Check out our pictogram 'Do you like porridge?' in our maths area.

On Shrove Tuesday we made pancakes and got to choose what topping we wanted. Father Jeff visited us in Nursery to do the ashes on Ash Wednesday. We all made a Lenten promise and placed them in a basket on our prayer table.
The beans are creating much interest as the children daily check to see if they have grown. Our beans in the jars have been very successful and are helping the children understand what is happening to their own bean in their pot.

Thank you to our parents  who came to spend Thursday morning with the children to make our class art piece. We are very excited to see it in its  completion.

This week the children have brought home a name pack inside their book bags. This is to encourage the children with their name recognition, correct letter formation and sound recognition. The book bags go home on a Friday and are not required to be back till the following Friday to choose a new book. We will  be soon putting out a basket of other packs for you to choose from to take home.

To all our families have a wonderful weekend.
