Head's Newsletter

Dear children, parents, staff and governors,

Our Year 5 children returned from a very enjoyable and educational 3 day trip to Sayers Croft.  Whilst the children were there, the Evening Standard ran an article about Sayers Croft having  just been awarded, a highly coveted quality award from the Council for Learning from Outside of the Classroom.  Our children certainly felt that they had learnt a lot of new skills from this visit. I would like to thank our staff: Miss Hawkins, Mr. Bowles, Miss Ward and Mr. Withingstall for going with the children and ensuring that it was an exciting and memorable occasion.

Tomorrow evening, Saturday 18th March,  we will be holding one of the biggest events in our school calendar:  our  Annual Auction.  Please do come and support the event as the funds raised  are integral to maintaining the enriched and supportive education that all your children receive here at St. Joseph’s Catholic School.  If, like me, this is the first time for you I am sure you will find it an enjoyable evening out.  There will be food, a bar and good company as well as the fun of the auction.  The children’s artwork is outstanding and I am sure there will be many parents wanting to bid for these items.  Come along and join us and help to raise money for the school.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. V. Richardson
Head  Teacher
