Year 6 News

It has been a busy week in Year 6. In Maths the children have been learning all about area and perimeter. Did you know that some rectilinear shapes can have the same area as one another but different perimeters and vice versa? How fascinating!

The children are now learning about electricity and have experimented with static electricity. As Book Week is almost upon us, Year 6 have been learning poems to recite for you next week. They have been learning 'The Raven', 'Hunter Trials' and ' The Lake Isle of Innisfree'. We will also have our visiting author, Tracey Mathias, coming our class for a writing workshop and the Scholastic Book Fair will be in the hall with so many books to choose from. What an exciting week ahead!
