Dissecting hearts and working with millions, Highway men and newspaper articles were just some of the exciting things going on this week in the Violet Classes.
Violet 1 was introduced to their new narrative poem, The Highway Man by Alfred Noyes. Through this poem we explored; love, death, betrayal and loyalty. All of violet 1 approached this with maturity and engagement.
Violet 2 discovered their inner scientists and demonstrated excellent abilities when dissecting hearts this week. They uncovered new and exciting information with this hands on task.
Both Violet 1 and 2 were working with increasingly large numbers in maths this week, multiplying and dividing by numbers all the way to 10,000! Wow!
The week was ended with a school harvest celebration during which Violet 1 and 2 reflected on the importance of giving and serenaded the rest of KS2 with their melodic Harvest Day celebration songs.
