Nursery News

After a successful visit from the fire fighters there has been a constant sound of fire sirens bounding off the nursery walls as the children have been actively involved in role play.

Fire fighters has been a very popular topic for many of the children. We invite you in to view their artwork in the quiet room. They have been working very hard. We also introduced screen printing as a new form of art. We continued our focus on 'What makes a good listener' through musical instruments and the introduction of rhyming words with the reading of books and playing word games like 'We are making silly soup'.

It is maths week throughout the school and we have explored fractions through our bible story 'The Loaves and Fishes' making bread and breaking it up to share with each other. The children excitedly viewed their portfolios this week and their was a buzzing banter as they revisited their learning and shared with each other.

Thank to our parent helpers who come into read and cook with the children. It is a very important part of our programme. Many parents have approached the teaching staff this week expressing their appreciation of our work. It has been gratefully received. Thank You.

Enjoy your weekend.
