Head's Newsletter

Dear children, parents, staff and governors,

It has been a very busy week here at school with everyone preparing for Christmas.  Christmas plays are being rehearsed, Carols are being practised and trees decorated.  Father Jeff reminded us at Mass on Monday that we must also prepare ourselves, for this very special feast day, by reading the bible and prayingfor peace in our world. As we journey through Advent let us pray that Hope and Joy lead us to Peace in the world.

All classes will be having their Christmas parties on Friday 9th December.  Children can wear their own clothes on this day and we would appreciate if they could bring in a £1 donation towards the cost of party food.

The Whole School Christmas Dinner will be on Wednesday 7th December.  If your child normally has packed lunch and would like to enjoy a Christmas Dinner please send in £1.90 in an envelope marked with your child’s name and the words Christmas Dinner. This must be received by Monday 5th at the latest

Please remember to have a look at the website for class news as the year blogs are updated on a regular basis.

Our parish Church Of Our Lady inSt John's Wood is holding a UCM Christmas Fair on Saturday 10th December 2016, 12 to 4 pm.  One way to give to others this Adventide is to help with donations of:

  • Homemade cakes (to be brought in on the day or the day before)
  • Toiletries/make up
  • Bottles for the tombola
  • New items for the tombola

These should be taken to the parish house during the week or to church on Sunday.  Also, members of the UCMwill be selling raffle tickets next week after school for the UCM Christmas Fair, they are a £1 a ticket.  Please do support their important work in the parish.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. V. Richardson
Headteacher
