Head's Newsletter

Dear Children, parents, staff and governors,

Todaybeing 11th November meant that we were able to hold our Remembrance Day Observance at 11am. TheRemembrance Day Service was led by our Year 6 pupils and I would like to say that in twenty years of teaching I have never seen such a beautifully presented service as we had today. Our Year 6 children were so well prepared by their Class teacher, Miss Dowling and their Teaching Assistant, Mrs. Procaccini. Everyone in the hall followed their lead and we had a very solemn and moving service. Thank you to the year 6 children and staff.

As you all know, Chestertons the estate agents, have always supported our school with financial and clerical support (posters, invitations, etc).  We now have the chance to support them in a wonderful appeal they have launched: Calling London.  It is to donate your unwanted coats to keep vulnerable Londoners warm this winter. There will be a flyer in your child’s book bag on Monday evening explain how and what they are doing. If you want to bring any unwanted coats (babies, childrens, adults) to the school, a member of the Chesterton’s staff will be collecting from us or you can take your coats directly to the Chestertons offices at 26 Clifton Road, London W9 1SX. As the days get colder I think that this is a wonderful appeal for us to support.

Our Winter Gala evening takes place next Saturday 19th November from 7pm till midnight. Many parents have been working very hard to make this a very special occasion for all of us and I do encourage you to buy tickets either on line or from parents at the school gates.  I am looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday evening for a relaxing evening of music, food and friendship.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Richardson
