What a busy term we have had so far! We were lucky enough to be invited to partake in Westminster Legacy Day to show what great sportspeople we are at St Joseph’s. We were also visited by the author, Tracey Mathias, for poetry week who shared with us not only her poems, but books she has written. Some lucky children were able to get their copies signed too!
In the last week before half term, the class has been focusing on persuasive writing. Whilst exploring different ways of using emotive and persuasive language we have been putting our debate skills to the test. The class had a great time debating the amount of homework they should be given!
In our last week of term we visited the Westminster Cathedral for the year of Mercy. The class was very engaged and really enjoyed learning about each of the 10 ways of Mercy. What a great start to their year 5 journey!
